The Park Hill Trojans and Platte County Pirates boys tennis teams competed in the 2025 Platte County Invitational at Platte County High School on Wednesday, March 26.
For Park Hill, it was a positive start in their first event of the season. They ended the day with 19 points, three shy of first-place Central (St. Joseph), who won their third consecutive championship in the Platte County Invitational.
The Trojans were led by junior Andrew Miller, who earned a first-place medal in singles. Park Hill also got second-place contributions from Brian Lisec, Bond Pasley and Jairpret Singh while Franco Timotei finished third. Timotei and Will Poole took first in doubles while Singh and Lisec teamed up for a second-place finish in doubles.
The Pirates concluded the day in third place with 17 points, two points clear of fourth-place St. Pius X and two points back from Park Hill.
In singles, senior Hayden Cook was a second-place finisher while senior Jake Diano and sophomore Mitchel McBratney came in third. The doubles tandem of Diano and McBratney finished first while Paul Havemeier and Jack Bralley came in second.
