Park Hill South ran its winning streak to eight games with a flawless run through the Blue Springs South Tournament last week. In a six-team field, the Panthers went 3-0 in a semi-round robin and finished ahead of Park Hill and Blue Valley West (Kan.) — both 2-1. They were set for a Suburban Conference Red Division test Tuesday, April 28 vs. Liberty, but the result was not available at deadline.
After an opening win against Blue Valley West, Park Hill South blanked the hosts 1-0 on Tuesday, April 21 with goalkeeper Brooke Montgomery recording the clean sheet. Anna Courtney recorded the lone goal.
In the finale Thursday, April 23, Park Hill South blanked Rock Bridge 2-0 with Haley Mills in goal. Shay Jackson accounted for both goals on assists from Mayliegh Oder.
Park Hill gave up a goal in each of its final two games, beating Rock Bridge 2-1 on Tuesday, April 21 and losing 1-0 to Blue Valley West on Thursday, April 23. Jenna Winebrenner, the Trojans sophomore all-state defender, tallied two assists in the win against Rock Bridge setting up markers for Taylor Buckholz and Alison Walls.
“We had a good showing but weren’t able to find enough possession or the back of the net in our final game,” Park Hill coach Brandt Bell said.

The Broncos recorded a second-half goal Monday, April 27 at Park Hill District Soccer Complex in Riverside, Mo. to escape with a nonconference win. Lee’s Summit North entered ranked No. 6 in the most recent Class 4 Missouri State High School Soccer Coaches Association poll.
