According to the Platte County Sheriff’s Office, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance with an armed barricaded subject in the 16000 block of 371 Highway, near Tracy, at 9:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11. The stand-off lasted until approximately 1:40 p.m.
During the stand-off a single gunshot was heard coming from inside the residence.

A 38-year-old female was evaluated by EMS on the scene and then interviewed by detectives. The case is being forwarded to the Platte County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
Wallace has had another recent brush with the law. Formerly the director of public works for the City of Platte City; in August, Wallace pleaded guilty to an assault charge after striking a dining companion several times with a salt shaker in a Platte City restaurant, after his companion complained the “Salsa was weak.” He received two years probation after the incident.
According to Platte City administrator Marji Gehr, Wallace took several weeks of leave from the city after a family member received a terminal diagnosis. She said he opted not to return to work with the city after the leave of absence.
Charges were pending as of press time. Wallace remains in custody in the Platte County Detention Center.
