Two brothers from Kansas are facing felony assault charges following an incident on Feb. 4 at Argosy Casino in Riverside.
According to court documents, Charles M. Bobbett, 26, Kansas City, Kan., was asked to leave by security personnel for allegedly being intoxicated at 12:53 a.m.
Bobbett cashed out his chips. He then took of his coat, rolled up his sleeve and charged at a security guard, grabbing him by the neck and causing cuts and scrapes. A Missouri State Highway Patrolman pulled Bobbett off the security guard and placed him under arrest.
Then, Joseph E. Bobbett, Jr. tried to came to the rescue of his younger brother.
Bobbett Jr., 27, Shawnee Mission, Kan., got into a fight with other members of security. He landed several punches according to court documents, while MSHP troopers were arresting his brother.
While in custody, the elder Bobbett stated the security guard he attacked was ‘mouthy’ and was antagonizing the situation.
