Cato leads Trojans on the golf course

The Park Hill boys golf team is back on the course with some senior leadership guiding the Trojans this spring.

The team will once again lean on two-time state qualifier Zach Cato to lead the Trojans forward. Cato is among the nine seniors on the squad looking to make their last season in the program one to remember.

Cato shot 154 in the state tournament for a 32nd-place finish as a sophomore before finishing 39th at state last year, shooting a 153. He is aiming to get back to the state tournament for the third consecutive year and crack the top 30 for the first time in his career.

Park Hill also has a pair of juniors looking to break through. The Trojan junior duo of Zane Thomas and Beau Bloome are promising talents who hope to break into the Trojans team.

The Trojans have the desire to win their own tournament and the conference tournament, but have the full expectation to place in the top five of all events throughout the season.

Zach Dorrell is now into his 25th year leading the Park Hill boys golf team, assisted by Greg Reynolds. Dorrell is emphasizing the value of maintaining focus and consistency each and every week.

Every competition will get them more prepared for postseason play, which begins on May 12 with the district tournament.
