Citizen newspaper's office to close Friday for move to new location

The Platte County Citizen office will be closed Friday, Sept. 23 while employees move to the new location.

Starting on Monday, Sept. 26, The Citizen office will be located at 812 Third Street in Platte City, across the street from Bud’s Service Station. The closure will allow for the transfer of internet and phone services and time to move equipment.

Management at The Citizen, the largest paid circulation weekly newspaper in Platte County, is excited for the chance to have dedicated office space with a location central in Platte City and near the downtown district. The staff also recently welcomed on reporter/photographer Nick Ingram to the staff.

Barring any setbacks, the office will reopen on Monday, Sept. 26. The main phone number will remain (816) 858-5154.
