End of an era June 12, 2019 Jeanette Browning Faubion The nearly 50-year-old Terminal A at Kansas City International Airport started coming down Thursday, June 6. Contractors used large excavators equipped with chisels and claws to demolish the structure. Crews are separating and recycling the steel rebar and are crushing the concrete for re-use later in the project. Demolition and cleanup are expected to take five months.JEANETTE FAUBION/Citizen photo
