The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash that took the life of a Camden Point woman late last week.
At just after 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, the sheriff’s department was notified of a single vehicle off the roadway on Highway 273 near the intersection with Highway 92 Spur, just north of Platte City.
According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, 31-year-old Catherine Scarlett of Camden Point died when her 2000 Ford Focus left the northbound lanes of Hwy. 273, traveled down an embankment and went airborne. Scarlett, who was alone in the vehicle, died at the scene.
