State-ranked East Buchanan picked up a 61-37 victory over West Platte on Friday, Feb. 7 in Weston.
The Bulldogs limited West Platte to eight or less points in each of the first three quarters and led 35-15 at halftime.
Katy Tharp paced the West Platte offense with 17 points, hitting three 3-pointers.
Gracie Kelsey (24) and Addi Ishmael (13) led the offense for the Bulldogs, ranked No. 4 in Class 2.
North Platte 63, Lathrop 36
The Panthers scored more points in a half than the Mules did in this game on Friday, Feb. 7 in Lathrop.
Josie Roach accounted for 10 of the Panthers’ 20 points in the first quarter, while Lathrop was held to only five points. She added seven more in the second and North Platte led 38-22 at halftime.
Roach scored a game-high 20 points, while Gracie Ramsey tallied 14.
Savannah 45, North Platte 41
The Panthers led early but the Savages outscored them in only once the final three quarters to get a close win on Thursday, Feb. 6 in Savannah.
North Platte got a 9-7 lead after the opening quarter, but gave up 17 points in the second quarter — 14 from Rylee Benight.
Down by 10 at the break, North Platte never recovered.
McKenzie Brockhoff scored 14 points, while Josie Roach added 11 for the Panthers.
Lathrop 51, West Platte 37
The Bluejays led after the opening quarter, but the Mules rallied for a KCI Conference win on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in Lathrop.
Lathrop scored 31 points in the two middle quarters and out scored the Bluejays by 17 points. West Platte bounced back to out score the Mules in the fourth quarter.
Arissa Jackson scored 25 points for Lathrop, 19 coming in the middle two quarters.
Katy Tharp tallied 18 points for West Platte, scoring 10 of them coming in the fourth quarter.
Plattsburg 36, North Platte 28
Plattsburg picked up a KCI Conference victory at home on Tuesday, Feb. 3 against North Platte.
West Platte 44, Troy, Kan. (41)
The Bluejays snapped nearly a season-long losing streak by beating the Trojans on Monday, Feb. 3.
The win is the first for West Platte since an opening-game win against Orrick. Since then, West Platte had lost 13 in a row.
West Platte trailed 30-27 going into the fourth but scored 17 points in the fourth, but Katy Tharp scored eight of her game-high 21 points in the fourth.
North Platte 49, DeKalb 29
The Panthers got a big night from McKenzie Brockhoff in a victory on Monday, Feb. 3 in Dearborn.
The senior scored 26 points, 16 of them coming in the first half. No other player had more than nine.
