KCPD looking into robberies at gas stations

The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a trio of gas station robberies this past weekend, one in Platte County.

In the early morning hours on Sunday, Oct. 12, a QuikTrip at 1251 NW Barry Road in Clay County was robbed at 5:30 a.m., as the suspect pointed a knife at the clerk and got away with $75.

Less than an hour later, Temp Stop at 4411 NW Barry Road, near the intersection of NW Barry and Green Hills Road in Platte County, was robbed at 6:20 a.m. The robber again flashed a knife and demanded money. The suspect got away with $85.

At 7:30 a.m., Casey’s General Store at 10751 N. Oak Trafficway was robbed with a suspect showing a knife and demanding and got away with an unknown amount of money.

KCPD reported the suspect had their face covered and wore a grey hoodie. The subject is described to be 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds. According to media reports, the police didn’t say if there was a connection between the three robberies.

On Tuesday, the police said this person is a suspect in a fourth robbery.
