The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the death of a 61-year-old white male who was found Friday morning in the area of an overturned boat in the flooded area near Bean Lake, north of Weston.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office received a call on the evening of March 28, from the family of a man who lived in the area, advising that they were unable to contact the party. Attempts to locate the party on the March 28 were unsuccessful.
During a search of the flooded area near Bean Lake, an overturned boat and a deceased party were found at approximately 11 a.m. this morning, Friday, March 29.
The name of the deceased man is being withheld at this time to allow the family to make notifications. The Sheriff’s Office does not believe that foul play was involved in the death.
The official cause of death is pending the results of the Medical Examiner’s investigation.
