The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 46-year-old white male who was found Saturday night, Jan. 26, next to a retaining wall in the area of 45 Highway and Graden Road, near Parkville.
As of press time, the name of the deceased man is being withheld pending family notifications. The sheriff’s office does not believe that foul play was involved in the death.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a deceased party lying next to a retaining wall along 45 Highway at 9:55 p.m. on Saturday. An individual who was walking to work discovered the deceased party. Deputies from the sheriff’s office and officers from the Parkville Police Department responded to the area and located the deceased man.
The deceased man was clothed in a t-shirt, shorts and was not wearing shoes.
The official cause of death is pending the results of the medical examiner’s investigation. The Parkville Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol provided assistance at the scene.
