North Platte couldn’t end a KCI Conference losing streak Friday, Feb. 10 in Plattsburg, Mo.
The offense slumped outside of six 3-pointers in a 62-39 loss to Plattsburg. The Panthers have lost three straight overall — all in league play — after winning four straight, and their last shot at another KCI win was scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 14 at Mid-Buchanan.

In the loss to Plattsburg, North Platte was outscored in each quarter. Ben French and Hunter Oliver hit two 3-pointers apiece, while Corbin Green and Austin Snook added one each. That quartet combined for 29 of the Panthers’ 39 points.
Jesse Martin added seven points in the fourth quarter for North Platte (7-14, 1-5 KCI), which drew the No. 6 seed in this month’s Class 2 District 15 Tournament. The Panthers are scheduled to open the postseason Tuesday, Feb. 21 against third-seeded KC Lutheran in Lone Jack, Mo.
The two teams met this year in their season opener with Lutheran (11-11) winning 57-52.
Lawson 64, North Platte 39
Cody Glenn’s hot second quarter helped the Cardinals pull away in a KCI win Tuesday, Feb. 7 in Lawson, Mo.
North Platte trailed just 13-10 after the first quarter, but Glenn hit three of his four 3s during the second quarter on his way to a game-high 19 points. French scored eight of his team-high 10 points in the first half, but the Panthers’ offense slowed despite five total 3-pointers.
Green, Oliver and Martin scored seven points apiece for North Platte in the loss.
Lawson 58, West Platte 31
The Bluejays scored 17 points in the third quarter but were overwhelmed early in another KCI loss Friday, Feb. 10 in Weston, Mo.
Phillip Pattison had six points for West Platte, which recently ended a lengthy losing streak with a nonconference victory against DeKalb. The Bluejays were 0-6 in KCI play entering a Tuesday, Feb. 14 matchup with league favorite Hamilton in Weston, Mo.

West Platte (2-17) drew the No. 8 seed in the Class 2 District 15 tournament, scheduled to open against top-seeded Wellington-Napoleon on Tuesday, Feb. 21 in Lone Jack, Mo. Wellington-Napoleon ranked No. 4 in the most recent Class 2 Missouri Basketball Coaches Association poll with just one loss.
Troy 66, West Platte 23
The Bluejays were limited to just eight field goals total in a nonconference game Thursday, Feb. 9 in Troy, Kan.
Troy held a 42-10 lead at halftime. Pattison and Truman Gillis led West Platte with six points apiece.
Mid-Buchanan 90, West Platte 25
The Bluejays were overmatched from the start in a KCI loss Tuesday, Feb. 7 in Weston, Mo.
Mid-Buchanan rolled to 49 points by halftime and added 28 more in the third quarter. The Dragons put the 30-point running clock into effect for all the fourth quarter.
Jonah Vandel led West Platte with six points, all coming in the second quarter. The Bluejays were down 49-13 at the break.
