One injured in 3-vehicle accident on I-29

A three-vehicle accident on Interstate 29 injured a Kansas City man on May 17.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the incident happened on I-29, just south of Highway 169 in Platte County at 8:53 a.m.

A 2000 Cadillac driven by Larry G. Watts, 75, of Kansas City, attempted to change lanes and struck the driver side of a 2015 Honda Odyssey driven by Scott A. Thoroughgood, 44, of Kansas City.

The Honda then traveled across all lanes of the southbound traffic and struck a 2015 Peterbilt tractor-trailer rig driven by John A. Ricketts, 67, of Liberty.

Thoroughgood sustained minor injuries and was taken to North Kansas City Hospital by Gladstone EMS. The Gladstone Police Department assisted on the scene.

Dylan J. Webb, 25, of Kansas City, Kan., was arrested on May 18 for driving while suspended, failure to register a motor vehicle and displaying plates of another in Platte County.

Jin K. Tahk, 56, Overland Park, Kan., was arrested on May 18 for trespassing, resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer in Platte County.

Brian K. Marcille, 33, of Kansas City, Mo., was arrested on May 18 for felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor drug possession and driving while suspended in Platte County.

Kyle Osterberger, 30, of Platte City, was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated on May 18 in Cass County.

Christoper N. Striplin, 49, of Liberty, was arrested in Platte County on May 22 for a felony warrant from Wyandotte (Kan.) County.

Vickie Dwyer, 36, of Kansas City, Mo., was arrested on a probation warrant and a Kansas City warrant on May 22 in Platte County.

Adrianna A. Johnson, 25, of Kansas City, Mo., was arrested on May 24 in Platte County on charges of driving while suspended-second offense, driving without insurance, failure to display valid display and 30 misdemeanor warrants.
