The Park Hill South boys’ swimming team ended the regular season by finishing in first place in the red conference on Oct. 30.
The Panthers had three relay teams compete with each team ending in first place. Park Hill South started out with the 200-yard medley team of Alec Enyeart, Jack Francis-Cummins, Alex Briggs and Luke Brown.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Roman Lewis, Henry Snider, Brown and Briggs ended in first place. The Panthers continued to dominate the conference with the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Derek Long, Lewis, Snider and Enyeart.
Enyeart not only performed well in the relays, but he finished in 1st place in the 200-freestyle with the new Gladstone pool record and a new Park Hill South record. Long ended in 2nd place, Isaac Dierker finished in 5th place and Gentry Comstock rounded out in 7th place.
In the 200-individual medley, Briggs finished in 1st place. Snider tied for 2nd place with a swimmer from Lee’s Summit, while Francis-Cummins ended in 5th place and Drew Franklin ended in 8th place.
Brown was the first swimmer to finish the 50-yard freestyle. Jake Knittel ended the competition in 6th place, Grady Burns finished in 9th place and Matt Henderson was the 12th swimmer to finish.
In the 100-yard butterfly, Briggs was the top-finisher. Jacob Knittel was the next finisher before the Panther senior, while Burns ended in 5th place and Nick Maris ended in 9th place.
Brown was the fastest swimmer in the 100-yard freestyle. Lewis finished in 3rd place and Henderson ended in 13th place.
Enyeart continued his impressive conference race with a 1st place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a new Gladstone pool and Park Hill South record. Long ended in 2nd place and Dierker was the 4th place finisher in the competition.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Lewis ended in 2nd place, Ethan Jensen was in 5th place and Comstock finished in 7th place.
Park Hill South had three of the top-five finishers in the 100-yard breaststroke led by Francis-Cummins in 3rd place. Snider finished in 5th place and Maris was the 9th swimmer to finish.
