Park Hill heading back to the classroom

The Park Hill School District has announced its plans to head back to the classroom full time on Monday, March 22.

“According to data from our community and across the region, new cases and hospitalizations decreased significantly over the last several weeks,” according to a statement released by the district. “We have been monitoring this data, and we have also been watching less measurable factors, including mental health concerns and students who were struggling with learning outside the classroom.”

The North Kansas City School District also plans to return to full-time, in-person classes on the same day.

Vaccination plans for district teachers and staff have also changed, with the Platte County Health Department providing closed vaccination clinics for Park Hill staff, administering the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Thursday, March 18 and the second dose on Friday, April 9.
