The Park Hill South boys’ tennis team came up short against a conference opponent at home on April 18.
The Red Division rival Liberty came to town and took down Park Hill South 7-2. Jack Arnold and Ryan Murray were the only Panthers to come out of the match with a singles victory as the Blue Jays swept the three doubles matches.
Arnold and Murray both won their matches by scores of 8-6 when Arnold took down Caden Conrick and Murray defeated Kymon Warman. Park Hill South’s number one, Noah Patel, couldn’t get much going when he matched up with Spencer Weighoar as the Blue Jay won 8-0.
Ryan Kempton and Murray matched up with Liberty’s number four and number six players in the doubles match and came up short, 8-4. Miles Bingham and Arnold lost by the same doubles score against the Blue Jays’ number three and five players.
Timmy Tasler and Patel fell 8-3 in their doubles match. Park Hill South will look to bounce back when it heads to the Noyes Tennis Court to take on St. Joseph’s Central on April 21.
