Park Hill wrapped up an unblemished Suburban Conference Red Division title last week and nearly did so with a perfect score.
In a matchup with Truman at Park Hill High School, the Trojans won all seven matches wrestled and picked up seven forfeits in an 80-0 victory Tuesday, Feb. 9. Landen Brown started the dual with a 4-1 decision at 285 pounds for Park Hill, which turned out to be one of only two wins for the Trojans that didn’t result in maximum points.
Garrett Raynor (106), Weston DiBlasi (126), Blake Hopson (145), Jacob Sobbing (195) and David Ambriz (220) all recorded pins for Park Hill, while senior Canten Marriott won a 15-0 technical fall in just 2 minutes, 11 seconds at 170. The maximum score for a dual is 84-0.
Truman recorded only one takedown in the seven matches and didn’t score any other offensive points.
