A Platte City, Mo. man died in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 22 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident that seriously injured his passenger.

According to a news release, the Platte County Sheriff’s Office and emergency medical personal responded to a scene north of Kisker Road in rural Platte County near Farley, Mo. Daniel J. Belk of Platte City was declared dead, and an air ambulance transported 41-year-old Donita L. James, also of Platte City, to a hospital with serious injuries.

The call reporting the crash came in at about 1:55 a.m.

No other details about the crash have been given out. The Platte County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team continues to investigate the incident.
