Platte City scouts make special delivery
Boy Scouts from Troop 1028 in Platte City last week made a special delivery of chocolate bars to the veterans living at the Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, Kan. Leavenworth native Patricia Vaughn Snodgrass, who is currently living in Switzerland, recently contacted the troop and purchased chocolate for the veterans, requesting the troop deliver the bars personally. The scouts not only delivered the chocolates, but also spent about two hours talking to the veterans.
