The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public to assist in identifying the suspects who broke into the Trex Mart convenience store located Highway E just off Intersate 29 near Camden Point, Mo.
According to a press release, four individuals forced their way into the store at approximately 1 a.m. in the early morning hours of Thursday, Jan. 19. The individuals used a pry bar to remove a safe located under a counter.
Surveillance camera footage from the store showed the suspects were wearing hooded sweatshirts pulled tight to partially obscure their faces. Pictures of two of the suspects can be viewed on page 3 of this week’s edition.
The suspects took the safe and left the area in a dark colored Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Anyone with information in regards to this crime, or anyone who may know the identity of the four suspects is encouraged to contact the Platte County Sheriff’s Office by the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS or submit a TIP on the Platte County Sheriff’s Office website www.plattesheriff.org and clicking on “Crime Tip Form.”
