Prosecutor’s office temporarily relocating to admin building

The Platte County Prosecuting Attorney’s offices will be moved to a familiar past location during an investigation into air quality concerns at the old courthouse building.

Presiding commissioner Ron Schieber announced the move at the Monday, Oct. 5 administrative session of the Platte County Commission.

Next week, the prosecutor’s office will take over the commission meeting room and office spaces until concerns on the third floor of the courthouse can be addressed.

The County Commission will move its administrative sessions to the Platte County Resource Center beginning next week. Smaller meetings will likely be held in various parts of the admin building, as noted in the commissioners’ online calendar.

A decade ago, during the last major renovation of the prosecutor’s office, a similar switch was made, with the commission led by Jason Brown moving operations to the resource center for several months.
