The Platte County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who allegedly robbed a Platte City gas station at gun point.
On Saturday, Nov. 11 at approximately 5:39 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call of an armed robbery that occurred at the Wood Oil gas station located at the split of Highways 92 and 45 between Platte City and Weston, Mo. and Leavenworth, Kan.
As seen on surveillance video, two black males entered the gas station and robbed the clerks and a customer for their cash. One suspect was wearing a black South Pole Athletic hooded sweatshirt and was armed with a silver handgun.
Images from the surveillance footage can be viewed at right, showing the man with the gun and his accomplice.
Both suspects left in what is believed to be a newer gray vehicle, possibly a Ford Escape. No one was injured during the robbery.
