After a successful fall season, two players from the Park Hill South boys’ soccer team earned spots on the Missouri All-Academic Soccer Team.
Senior defender Carson Simmons and senior midfielder Max Vandeginste are two of 57 players in the state to receive this recognition – which includes all four classes. The Missouri Soccer Academic Team is a select group of seniors who have excelled both on the field and in the classroom. Once players have been recognized on the field, nominees are evaluated on their GPA and ACT scores.
This year, all 57 players had an academic score of 120 or higher, meaning they had a 4.0 GPA and scored at least 30 on the ACT. The two seniors helped lead the Park Hill South boys’ soccer team to an 11-9 record this past fall.
