Park Hill South won 10 of 12 events and posted six 1-2-3 finishes during a dual with Kearney on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at Park Hill District Aquatic Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Even with shuffled lineups, the Panthers took all three relays and posted a team score of 133 compared to Kearney’s 46. Standouts like Allison Garrett (200 freestyle, 100 freestyle), Paige Riekhof (50 freestyle, 100 backstroke) and Georgia Clark (500 freestyle) had individual victories, while Lauren Powers topped the 100 butterfly field ahead of Park Hill South teammates Nadja Jacimovic, Erika Longnecker and Hope Beatty in a 1-2-3-4 finish for the Panthers.
Taylor Young also won the 1-meter diving competition for Park Hill South in a field of four entrants with a score of 224.85.
Park Hill South’s 200 medley (Garrett, Riekhof, Powers and Peyton Wiewel), 200 freestyle (Clark, Garrett, Powers and Wiewel) and 400 freestyle (Riekhof, Clark, Nadya McCullough and Amy Montalbano) relays all had impressive victories.
