The Riverside Police Department is investigating how a St. Joseph man ended up dead in the Missouri River in their jurisdiction.
According to police, at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, Riverside Police and Fire Departments responded to a 911 call directing them to the area of the Fairfax Bridge over the Missouri River where an unresponsive party was discovered in the water.
With the assistance of neighboring area agencies, the remains of a deceased young adult male were recovered from the water. Riverside Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
