Park Hill South took first place at the Pirate Invitational held Monday, Sept. 16 at Shiloh Springs Golf Course in Platte City.
The Panthers shot 392 and easily won the team title with runner-up Staley coming in with a 407.
Kearney was third (409), followed by Platte County with a 412 and Park Hill took seventh in the 16-team field.
The best individual finish of area golfers came from Platte County’s Eden Shipp, who shot 86 and finished as the runner-up behind Jaylee Castro of Staley.
Mannon Bigus tied for 15th and Victoria Sanders tied for 20th for Platte County.
Park Hill South had four placers from seventh to ninth. Abby Ervin was seventh after shooting 96 and Chloe Bowman shot 98 and was eighth, while Annie McFee and Taylor Evans tied for ninth by shooting 99.
Park Hill’s Ishika Akula shot 104 and took 17th to lead her team.
“The team is taking advantage of every opportunity to improve and we will use this as we get closer to the end of the postseason tournament coming up very quickly,” Platte County coach Trevor Short said. “We did hit a personal record for the season, as a team, for best team score. If we can continue on this route we could have a shot at the conference title for the fourth year in a row.”
Park Hill South Quad
The Panthers shot 201 as a team and Annie McFee had medalist honors at a golf match held on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at The Deuce at the National Golf Club in Parkville.
McFee shot 44 for Park Hill South, the lowest score by three shots over teammate Chloe Bowman.
Park Hill’s Ishika Akula was third with a 52, while Abby Ervin of Park Hill South tied for fourth.
Park Hill shot 229 as a team, coming in third behind Pembroke Hill’s 216. Ray-Pec shot 230 and was fourth.

The Pirates host Staley at Shiloh Springs starting at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. On Tuesday, Sept. 24, Platte County, Park Hill and Park Hill South will take part in the Oak Park Tournament at Paradise Point Golf Course in Smithville.
