An Independence man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually abusing two girls under the age of 12. Charles C. Hill, 37, received the sentence in Platte County Circuit Court last week on three counts of statutory sodomy.
“Today there is one less dangerous sexual predator on the streets of Platte County thanks to the good work of the detectives of our Cyber Crimes Task Force,” Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd said. “I am proud to work with those men and women who are on the cutting edge of keeping our kids safe.”
According to court documents, the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant and found child pornography at Hill’s residence in Independence Sept. 14, 2011.
Following execution of the search warrant, a 25-year-old female reported to the Kansas City Police Department that Hill had sexually abused her when she was 12-years-old. In addition, a 15-year-old female reported to the Platte County Sheriff’s Department that Hill had sexually abused her on multiple occasions when she was between eight- and 10-years-old.
