One man was seriously injured after being shot at a hotel near Kansas City International Airport in the early morning hours on Friday, Oct. 6
The shooting occurred at about 2:47 a.m. at the Plaza Hotel located at 11828 Northwest Plaza Circle on the northern edge of the KCI hotel corridor. According to reports, police arrived and found a victim that had been shot in one of the hallways of the hotel.
The man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The manager stated that the shooting was an isolated incident that began in one of the rooms, according to reports.
Investigators still have not determined what exactly led to the shooting and are reviewing hotel surveillance videos along with collecting several bags of evidence. Police do not currently have a suspect in custody, and no charges related to the incident have been filed in Platte County.
