The FBI is investigating an attempted bank robbery last week in Platte City.
At approximately 10:42 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5 there was an attempted robbery at the Bank of Weston in Platte City. According to the FBI, An unknown suspect entered the bank, made a demand for cash, threatened a weapon, but left before receiving any money. There were no injuries.
The subject is described as a male, 5’7” and stocky build, with long hair. The suspect was described as wearing a black jacket and black pants. The suspect was also described as wearing a medical mask and black gloves.
The suspect fled the bank in a black passenger car, heading West on Highway 92.
