Platte County students competed at the 2025 MoNASP State Archery Championship from March 19-22 at the Branson Convention Center.
Siegrist Elementary fourth-grader Kendall Webb proved to be the best of the best among elementary school girls. She earned individual state championships in both bullseye and 3D archery.
Webb shot a 282 score in the bullseye competition with 18 tens, the best of all 318 girls competing. She also shot a 269 score in 3D with 15 tens, earning first among all elementary school girls.
As a team, Siegrist Elementary were runners-up in the 3D competition with a score of 1429 and a tournament-high 43 tens. They finished fourth in bullseye with a score of 2980 and 84 tens.
Compass Elementary also competed in Branson, finishing fifth in 3D and 14th in bullseye. William Whitlow and Lakin Stanturf scored a 243, combining for 15 tens in 3D while Whitlow scored a 259 with 10 tens in bullseye.
Platte County High School freshman Jake Sloan tied with Hillsboro sophomore Wade Conner for first-place in bullseye. Both scored a 296 score, which was Sloan’s personal best, with 26 tens.
Sloan was also a top-10 individual finisher in 3D, coming in seventh among high schoolers with a 292 score. Sophomore Reece Moppin was also a top-10 finisher with 23 tens and a score of 293, finishing ninth among high school boys.
Platte County took fifth in the high school division in both bullseye and 3D. The Pirates shot 3381 with 181 tens in bullseye and shot 1693 with 102 tens in 3D.
Platte City Middle School also competed in Branson, finishing eighth in 3D and 15th of 64 in bullseye. Sixth grader Cooper Webb was a top-three finisher in both, while William Wolters, Zoey Miller, and Brooklyn Miller also finished top 10 among sixth-grade boys and girls in 3D.
Platte Purchase Middle School joined the competition and had finished 25th in 3D and 28th in bullseye. Greyson Humphreys was Platte Purchase's leading archer, shooting a 269 in 3D and 273 in bullseye while Emily Ramsey earned a top-five finish among middle school girls bullseye competitors in 3D.
