Firefighter Freddie, 10-19-18

Firefighter Freddie, an animatronic, interactive teaching tool, paid a visit Friday, Oct. 19 to students at Great Beginnings Preschool in Platte City. As part of National Fire Prevention Month, Central Platte Fire District firefighters ­­­— along with Freddie ­— spoke to the children about fire safety. Central Platte Fire purchased Freddie last year thanks to a grant from Firehouse Subs. The district plans to use Freddie for education programs such as the one held at Great Beginnings and during community events.
