Winning jackpot lottery ticket sold at Trex Mart in Tracy

An unknown customer bought one of two jackpot winning Missouri Lottery tickets in Tracy, Mo. last week. According to a news release, the Trex Mart on Highway 92 sold a ticket that matched all six numbers drawn on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Another winning ticket was sold in Troy, Mo., meaning that the two winners will split a $4 million jackpot.

The winning numbers were 12, 23, 25, 34, 40 and 42. No winners had come forward to claim the prize as of The Citizen’s deadline on Tuesday, Dec. 8

“If you’re one of the players who bought a lucky ticket, please sign the back of it right away and keep it in a safe place until you’re ready to claim your prize,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery.

Draw game winners have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winners have until May 30, 2016. Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield and Jefferson City.

Platte County has become a hotbed for big winning tickets in recent years for Missouri Lottery players. Jackpot winners have been sold in Dearborn, Platte City and Tracy.
