Kaycee Hodgson, a North Platte senior, made the list for the first time and debuted on the first team after a record setting-season. The Panthers’ shortstop hit .506 with a .577 on-base percentage in the middle of the lineup with a school-record 12 home runs contributing to her 1.188 slugging percentage.

Signed to play at Missouri Southern, Hodgson added 14 doubles and five triples to go with 49 RBIs and 42 runs scored for North Platte, which earned a share of the KCI Conference title and advanced to the state playoffs for a second straight season.

Hodgson’s home run total for a single season ranked 10th in Missouri history while her extra-base hits (29) was seventh and total bases (101) was fourth.

Victoria Haugsness, a fellow senior at North Platte, made the second team for a second straight season. She again anchored the Panthers’ pitching after leading them to a fourth-place Class 2 state finish a year ago. She earned all 25 wins in North Platte’s 25-3 season, which ended with a loss to Sherwood in Class 2 sectionals, while racking up totals of 224 strikeouts and a 1.21 ERA in 173 innings of work while walking just 26.

Haugsness threw a perfect game, a no-hitter and seven one-hitters this season. She added a .494 average (.534 OBP), five home runs, 14 doubles and 42 RBIs at the plate, hitting behind Hodgson.

Park Hill South garnered two first-team selections after a 25-4 season that ended with a loss to eventual state champion Staley in the Class 4 District 16 championship game.

Kylie DeClue, a senior outfielder, moved from the second team to the first team on the Class 4 all-state list after setting a school record for home runs at nine. She also led the Panthers with 42 RBIs while her hits (42) and runs (30) ranked only behind senior infielder Kasey Sadler. DeClue’s .440 average and .471 OBP were third behind Sadler and senior catcher Erika Lutgen.

Committed to Division I University of Oregon, Park Hill South junior Olivia Kinsey made the first team at pitcher. She went 17-3 with 236 strikeouts in 122 1/3 innings of work, while allowing just 85 hits and 33 walks (.965 WHIP).

In addition, Kinsey finished with six home runs and 28 RBIs, second to DeClue in both categories.
