The West and North Platte track teams kicked off their seasons in the North Platte Early Bird meet March 27. North Platte’s Regan Nash won all four of her events in the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes with times of 13.03-seconds, 28.28 and 1:11:06, respectively. North Platte’s Abby Fisher also had a good day, placing third in the 100 and second in the 200 meter dashes. West Platte’s Logan Eagen and Harper Euwer placed second and third in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, respectively. Maddie Lee of the Lady Panthers placed third and second in the 800 and 1600 meter runs with Baylie Wilson placing second in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles as well. Erin Manville of North Platte had a good showing in the girls high jump that was good enough for second place. In relays, West Platte was good enough for second in the 400 meter relay with Dekalb’s first team beating out the Bluejays by four-tenths of a second. West Platte’s Paige Larrison won two events for the Blue Jays. In the shot put, Larrison placed first after throwing 30-feet, 8-inches while also coming in first in the discus throw. On the boys side, the Bluejays’ Colton Goodlet came in second in the 100 meter dash just .11-seconds behind Elliot Fortney of East Buchanan.
