A pair of goals from James Betz led the Park Hill soccer team over Liberty North by a score of 2-1 in a home victory for the Trojans on Sept. 15.
The junior got the Trojans on the board first with a penalty kick with 34:40 remaining in the first half. Liberty North responded with a goal of its own as the Trojans and the Eagles were knotted 1-1 at halftime.
While both teams had multiple second half opportunities to score, Park Hill was the only team to convert on another goal. With around 29 minutes remaining in the contest, Betz’s dribbled around the defense and found the back of the net with a left-footed kick.
The Trojans held onto that 2-1 lead and kept the Eagles from scoring to come out with a win. Park Hill moved to 3-2 on the season and 2-2 at home with the victory over Liberty North.
