Finley Bickford went undefeated to highlight area wrestlers at the Harrisonville Scramble on Thursday, Jan. 10.
The Park Hill South grappler posted two victories by pins — over Smith-Cotton’s Carin Wittall and Buffalo’s Savannah Rice.
Teammate Mystique Anderson went 2-1 on the day. Anderson won by pins in each of her contests in the first period. She stuck Monet Ruvalcaba of Liberty North in 55 seconds and then pinned Marcelle Heinecke in 1:15. She lost by a pin to Buffalo’s Madison Anderson.
Platte County finished with two wins in the meet.
Serina Bertram posted a 1-1 mark, while Avery Krahenbill went 1-2.
Natalie Crain and KayLyn Munn were both 0-3 for the Pirates.

In the only girls match, Mid-Buchanan’s Haley Sampson — a North Platte student — lost by major decision against Plattsburg’s Payge Fuller.

In the lone match of the night, Sophia Stenner got a pin in the third period to beat Park Hill South’s Finley Bickford on Tuesday, Jan. 8 in Riverside, Mo.
Platte County 9, Kearney 6
The Pirates won two of three matches to salvage a split vs. Kearney in duals held on Tuesday, Jan. 8 in Kearney, Mo.
Avery Krahenbill posted a 3-0 decision against Kearney’s Carissa Nichols in the first match. Kearney came back to take a 6-3 lead when Abby Pritzel got a pin against Natalie Crain.
A win by Serina Bertram against Maddux Kirkland in 5:16 gave the Pirates the victory.
