A local pizzeria changed its name a bit and its menu after opening up after the Christmas holiday as SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza is now SPIN! Pizza.
There are 10 locations in the Kansas City metro, including one in Platte County at Burlington Creek at 6100 NW 63rd Terrace.
The business, which was founded in 2005 in Overland Park, Kan., also unveiled a new logo. Other changes include the elimination of almost all of the Italian words with easier-to-pronounce English equivalents.
Other changes include large pizza — a 14-inch version in addition to the current 7- and 12-inch versions; more pizza options, including a BBQ flavored pizza sauce has been added; the website will feature images with all of the food items and information about vegan and gluten-free options; a chicken cobb salad was added to the mention; the ‘trio’ dip appetizer will be replaced with a ‘duo’ option of white bean hummus with roasted red peppers and goat cheese dips; gelato will sold in pints and tubs; the menu will have two sandwiches: turkey bacon avocado and the Italian; an improved wine selection was the result of a guest survey.
The new menu was inspired by award-winning chef Michael Smith and was tested at the location at the Country Club Plaza.
