Platte County commissioners approved the appointment of an owner representative for upcoming American Rescue Plan Act projects at a special meeting held Monday.
Director of facilities Daniel Erickson presented the contract agreement with George Butler Associates to represent the county’s interests during construction of ARPA-funded capital improvement projects planned at county facilities.
“We’ve got about 20 months to spend $20 million and that’s a lot harder than it looks,” said district commissioner Dagmar Wood.
With expediency in mind, commissioners approved the contract, not to exceed $320,000, to oversee upcoming projects.
