A Kansas man was injured in an accident on Interstate 635 in Platte County on Sunday, Feb. 17.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gabriel N. Robertson, 50, of Kansas City, Kan., was driving southbound in his 2010 Chevrolet Equinox on Interstate 635.
He traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail near mile marker 11.8. After impact, his vehicle returned to the roadway, facing north.
Robertson sustained critical injuries and was transported to North Kansas City Hospital.
This is the first accident in Platte County since Feb. 4, according to online records for the MSHP.
Arrests
The Missouri State Highway Patrol made a handful of arrests in Platte County over recent days.
On Feb. 15, the MSHP arrested two in the county. The first happened at 11:37 p.m. when St. Louis resident Clive O. Estes, 43, was cited for driving while intoxicated and operating a commercial motor vehicle on tires with fabric exposed.
Kathleen Treas, 29, of Bucyrus, Kan., was arrested on a felony warrant out of Wyandotte (Kan.) County at 11:43 p.m. on Feb. 15. She is still in custody.
On Feb. 17, James E. Eackles, 24, of St. Joseph and Jack R. Hardy, 38, of Platte City were arrested.
Hardy was taken into custody for a felony warrant out of Platte County.
Eackles is facing charges of a felony probation and parole warrant; felony possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine; misdemeanor warrant from St. Joseph Police Department and introducing controlled substance into a county jail.
