WESTON, Mo.  — West Platte owned the first quarter, but after that everything belonged to the visiting Panthers, who won 46-30 on Friday, Feb. 14 in a doubleheader in Weston.

The Bluejays jumped out to a 12-7 lead after one period behind eight first-quarter points from junior Katy Tharp.

Unfortunately, the home squad couldn’t maintain that momentum and North Platte outpaced the Bluejays 16-4 in the second stanza and never looked back.
North Platte senior McKenzie Brockhoff led all scorers with 15 and junior Josie Roach added 14 for the Panthers.

For the Bluejays, Tharp’s 12 made her the only player to reach double figures.
