KCI volleyball roundup: West Platte, North Platte wins 2 games each

West Platte rolled to a third straight win by beating Northland Christian, 25-15 and 25-13.

In the second game, Tori Norman started serving with the game tied at 2-2 and by the time Northland got a point, West Platte led 13-3.

Norman had four aces, one more than teammate Faith Stevens, who had a team-high nine assists.

Samantha Rotterman and Lexie Smither had six kills each for West Platte (8-2).

North Platte 2, Mound City 0

In a battle of Panthers, North Platte prevailed 25-12 and 25-16 on Monday, Sept. 23 in Dearborn.

McKenzie Brockhoff and Emily Westwood had eight digs each, while Brockhoff had a block for North Platte.

Brianna Bridger had 10 kills and Frankie Davis had 10 assists.

North Platte 2, Lathrop 0

The Panthers picked up a win in the KCI Conference opener on Thursday, Sept. 19 against the Mules in Dearborn.

North Platte won 25-17 in both games.

McKenzie Brockhoff had nine kills and 10 digs, while Brianna Bridger had two blocks. Frankie Davis added seven assists for North Platte (6-3-1).

West Platte 2, East Buchanan 0

The Bluejays swept the Bulldogs, 25-20 and 25-17, on Thursday, Sept. 19, in another KCI Conference opener.

Samantha Rotterman had seven kills, while Tori Norman and Lexie Smither had five each. Smither added two blocks, tying Katy Tharp for the team lead. Zoe Buckler had four aces and 13 assists for West Platte.

North Platte: The Panthers travel to Hamilton on Thursday, Sept. 26 for a conference game and then to the Nodaway-Holt triangular on Monday, Sept. 30.
