Mid-Buchanan extend West Platte’s woes

For the third year in a row, West Platte can associate the No. 7 with bad luck.

The Bluejays dropped their seventh straight game on Friday, Oct. 12, losing 48-8 to against Mid-Buchanan in a KCI Conference showdown in Faucett, Mo.

After opening the season with a win against Lone Jack, the Bluejays have failed to get back in the win column.

Last year, West Platte lost eight in a row before getting a win in the first round of the district playoffs. The year prior, the Bluejays were winless.

In this contest, West Platte gave up an 8-yard touchdown run to Caleb Kirschner and a 65-yard touchdown pass from Javan Noyes to Riley Brill in the first quarter, before getting on the board.
