New QT planned in Kansas City North

A new QuikTrip will be heading to Platte County soon if it passes through the neighborhood planning and development committee.

During a meeting late last month, a proposal for a 4.04 acre gas station at 4351 NW Tiffany Springs Road was presented, near NW 90th Street. It will be store No. 223 for the Tulsa-based company.

OTHER HAPPENINGS

  • An 376.86 acre tract of land located near NW 132nd Street, between Winan Avenue and Mexico City Avenue, was changed to agriculture-residential from manufacturing/community business. The Stamper Quarry will be expanded to add 1,172 acres, allowing a rock quarry and asphalt plant.

  • Approved the plat of Overland Ridge fourth plat and a replat of the third plat on 26 acres located at the southeast corner of NW 72nd Street and Overland Drive. It will create 47 lots for 47 single-family homes. The projected started in 2006.

  • The director of aviation approved a sale of parcels of land and improvements at 12200 Ambassador Drive. CBRE Inc. will broker the sale of the property.

  • Approved the appropriating of $100,000 in the capital improvement fund to the NW Prairie View Road and 64th Street improvement project in 2019-2020. The Prairie Road project will align 64th Street to the exiting Chatham Avenue, which includes sidewalks, bike lanes, a retaining wall and LED street lighting and a MoDOT designed off and on ramp from I-29 and 64th Street interchange.

  • Approved the appointment of Jacques Tournoy to the Platte County Sports Commission.

  • The board of parks and recreation renewed an agreement with the Line Creek Figure Skating Club to use the Line Creek Community Center until Sept. 30, 2020. The total amount of compensation is $53,000.

  • An agreement was approved for $405,600 with TranSystems for inspection services for North Platte Purchase Drive/Line Creek Parkway and Tiffany Springs Road projects. The cost also includes a Clay County project. The local project spans from Platte Purchase from Highway 152 to NW 100th Street/NW Tiffany Springs Parkway from N. Line Creek Parkway to NW 100th Street. Work includes roadway, curb and gutters, sidewalk, upgraded lighting, enclosing storm water systems and more.
