Two Platte County football players are being recognized for their efforts on the field at the wide receiver position.
Platte County junior wide receiver Tres Baskerville, and Park Hill senior pass catcher Braylon Agee, have both been named finalists for the Otis Taylor Award given to the Kansas City metro area’ best pass catcher.
Baskerville is still playing as his team qualified for the Class 5 championship game that will be played this Saturday in Columbia. Baskerville caught 40 passes for 978 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
Agee helped lead his team to a Class 6 district championship and a trip to the Class 6 quarterfinals. Agee caught 61 passes for 796 yards and nine touchdowns.
