The Park Hill girls’ soccer team (4-14) ended a four-game losing streak and locked in the No. 4 seed in the Class 4 District 8 Tournament this past week.
After a tough four-game stretch where Park Hill was outscored 13-2, the Lady Trojans bounced back with a 2-1 win at Blue Springs (1-16) on May 5. Senior Darcy Cato assisted on both of the goals as Nia Muniz and Lydia Keller were the Lady Trojans who found the back of the net.
After falling short in its first eight games, Park Hill has posted a 4-8 record which began with a 4-0 victory over Blue Springs in the first matchup with the Gold Division opponent on April 12.
Park Hill’s other two wins have been against district opponents, which helped it clinch a top-4 seed. The Lady Trojans will take on Staley in the opening round of the Class 4 District 8 Tournament at 5 p.m. on May 14 at Liberty North High School.
Park Hill will have two more games ahead of the postseason, starting with a home game against Liberty (9-9) on May 10. The Lady Trojans will end the regular season on the road against Blue Springs South (7-11) on May 12.
