The two Park Hill South golfers at the Class 2 MSHSAA State Golf Championship flip-flopped spots in the standings during the two-day event that wrapped up on Tuesday, Oct. 22 in Bolivar.
Senior Annie McFee shot a two-round score of 188 to take 62nd place, moving up six spots after day one at the Silo Ridge Golf Course.
Teammate Abby Ervin shot 88 in the first round and sat in 35th place, putting herself in contention for an all-state medal. The sophomore shot 114 on the second day and finished with a 202 and tied for 77th place.
The state championship went to St. Joseph Academy for the fourth straight year. There was a new state champion as Brooke Biermman of Lafayette Wildwood won by two shots over Megan Propeck of Notre Dame de Sion, who had won the past two individual titles.
