The Park Hill South soccer team is in full stride as the Panthers have won their last four contests.
North Kansas City is the most recent team to fall to Park Hill South as the Panthers defeated the Hornets 6-1 on Sept. 29. The Panthers led 4-1 at the break and wasted no time getting on the board as T.J. Rouse scored a quick goal in the opening minutes to take a 1-0 lead.
Not too long after that, Quinlan McNellis connected with the back of the net and Devin Crane had the assist. The Hornets responded with a goal in the 17th minute to narrow the deficit, 2-1.
Devin Crane and Lucas Crane both scored a goal to close out the first half to give the Panthers a comfortable lead at halftime. Lucas Crane scored his goal right before the first half ended.
The Panther offense remained consistent in the second half with a pair of goals from Ashtin Keogh. The senior forward scored in the 44th minute from an assist by Grant English and again in the 53rd minute on a pass from Max Vandeginste.
The victory puts Park Hill South right at .500 on the season as its record is 5-5 following the contest against North Kansas City. The Panthers will be competing this week in the Panther Classic at Park Hill High School.
