The Platte County Youth Football League third-grade team won the Kansas City City of Champions tournament last month at Lee’s Summit North High School in Lee’s Summit.
Platte County picked up two wins, including a 40-12 victory against the KC Outlaws, ranked No. 6 in the nation.
The third-grade group has been undefeated the past three years, won three straight KCFC youth Super Bowl championships and won the Gridiron Tournament earlier this year in Savannah.
Platte County won all 12 games they played this year.
The third grade is Easton Ray, Carter Cunningham, Michael Chandler, Mason Nickell, Phin McMain, Kade Fowler, Christopher Hotchkiss, Landon Stewart, Owen Yates, Cade Simon, Nathan Grahovac, Macklin Bolling, Cole Martin, Kaiden Byng, Kaleb Salmon, Cash Jantzen, Nicholas Hoyer, Collin Ellis, Gage Vest, Will Fetterman, Collin Taylor, Tim Linville, Michael Runds and Nicholas Horsley.
