A Platte City man is being held at the county detention center without bond after he attempted to escape the officers trying to serve him an ex parte order.
Troy Enderle, 32, was scheduled to appear back in court Tuesday, Feb. 4 before judge Ann Hansbrough for a bond review hearing. The results of that hearing were not known by press time. Enderle is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and tampering.
According to court documents, Platte City police responded to a domestic violence call in the 800 block of Fourth Street on Tuesday, Jan. 28. A man wielding a knife and threatening harm to his spouse and neighbor were reported.
The victim told police she had filed for an ex parte order against the suspect, Enderle, who had fled prior to police arrival. After she filed the order, she reported Enderle was following her. During a confrontation, he allegedly stabbed the tire of her vehicle and threw a rock at the window. Enderle threatened to kill the victim and take their children. He also threatened another party who attempted to intervene.
Later that day, Platte City police again responded to the area, where a brick had been thrown through the window of a residence belonging to the third party. While there, Enderle called the secondary victim and a Platte City officer took the phone.
Enderle allegedly stated, “Have my wife Google my name, Troy Enderle, Afghanistan, see what kind of (expletive) you’re dealing with. I will (expletive) snipe your old (expletive) from a mile away and you will see it coming.”
When officers tried to contact Enderle at his home, he threatened to shoot them.
Police kept Enderle under surveillance, calling him and telling him to come outside so they could serve the ex parte order. According to police reports, Enderle told police he was not in the house and attempted to sneak out the back door. A foot pursuit ensued and the officer deployed his taser. Enderle was apprehended, but suffered an injury to his hand and was transported to a local hospital for treatment before he was sent to the Platte County Detention Center.
Enderle’s criminal history includes possession of a controlled substance, DWI and obstructing police.
